# Cherry Studio

Cherry Studio integration is import-only. OcHub stores reusable connection
details in its own database and uses Cherry Studio's public custom-URL protocol
to hand them to the installed app. It does not edit Cherry Studio's SQLite
database or call its internal Electron IPC.

## Import a provider

1. Open **Cherry Studio** in the OcHub sidebar and select **Add connection**.
2. Choose the matching protocol type: OpenAI Chat Completions, OpenAI
   Responses, Anthropic Messages, Gemini, Vertex AI, Vertex Anthropic, or
   Ollama.
3. Enter the provider Base URL and API key, then save the connection.
4. Select **Import** on its card.
5. Cherry Studio opens its provider confirmation dialog. Review the provider
   name, endpoint, key, and type, then confirm there.

OcHub generates a `cherrystudio://providers/api-keys` Deep Link only when the
button is clicked. The full API key is read from local storage at that moment;
it is not placed in rendered UI state, logs, or the clipboard. The key is part
of the local URL payload delivered to Cherry Studio, so use this action only on
a trusted machine.

## Scope and limitations

- Cherry Studio must be installed and registered as the handler for the
  `cherrystudio://` scheme.
- The public payload imports provider identity, Base URL, API key, and protocol
  type. Configure models and other Cherry-specific settings in Cherry Studio.
- Importing the same provider ID can update it after Cherry Studio asks for
  confirmation.
- Deleting a connection in OcHub deletes only OcHub's saved copy. OcHub does
  not remove or synchronize the provider in Cherry Studio.
- Import is available only for local connections. Remote-node actions and the
  background quick-switch menu intentionally exclude Cherry Studio.

If Cherry Studio does not open, launch it once so the URL scheme is registered,
then try **Import** again.
